40 kW power converter

Development of a 40 kW power converter to drive a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The converter was developed within the scope of my master dissertation, entitled "Desenvolvimento de um Veículo Eléctrico - Development of an Electric Vehicle". It also developed the analogue and digital signal conditioning circuits and respective printed circuit boards.

50 kW unified power converter

Development of a 50 kW unified power converter to drive a BLDC (Brushless DC) motor. The converter was developed within the scope of my PhD thesis subordinated to the theme "Nova Topologia de Conversor Bidirecional Unificado para Sistema de Tração e Carregamento de Baterias em Veículos Elétricos - New Topology of Bidirectional Unified Converter for Traction and Battery Charging Systems in Electric Vehicles". Nowadays, electric vehicles have a power converter that drives the electric machine and a second power converter to charge the battery. The similarities between both converters allowed to foresee a convergence between them for a single power converter. In this way, it is obtained a reduction of the weight, the cost and the volume occupied by the power converters inside of the electric vehicle.
Pictures coming soon.

TV-B-Gone

Replication of a universal remote control that it has numerous codes for turning off the televisions. I used the original schematics, changing only the layout and arrangement of the components on a new printed circuit board (PCB) that I developed. When I did this project, the famous Nokia 3310 still existed. The PCB that I developed was placed in the zone of the antenna and the infrared emitters in the zone of the on/off button. The sequence of sending the different codes is activated by the send SMS button. When it sending the codes a led is turned on in phone display. The original project and all necessary documentation for its duplication is present on the website adafruit.

iMac "Core i5" 2.9 27-Inch (Late 2012)

I received an iMac that did not turn on, after analyzing and perform several tests I saw that the power supply and the motherboard were not working properly. I purchased a used power supply and motherboard with a one year warranty. I proceeded to assembly both parts and verified that the problem was solved. To seal the monitor, I bought a kit of specific tapes for it.

DYNAMOMETER 01-CE

Repair of a crane scale that had a broken display. The display no longer exists on the market and the seller not repaired. After studying the broken display and done a wiring diagram, I choose a compatible display with the damaged display. I couldn't get an equivalent display, however, I found a display with the same wiring diagram but smaller. I proceeded to replace the display, it was necessary to adjust the distances of the pins and proceed to solder them.

MODULINE 8000

Repair MODULINE 8000 electric roller shutter module of the SOMFY. When the module is disassembled I verified that part of the printed circuit board (PCB) had "disappeared". The board was destroyed because occurs a short circuit during the relay closing. To solve the situation, I had two options: replace the relays and make the connections externally with copper wire or develop a new PCB. I chose to develop a new PCB, I start with the schematic survey of the damaged PCB. Then I measure the old PCB dimensions and obtain the positioning of the components for the development of the new PCB. When I obtain the new PCB, I proceeded to assemble and test it. In the development of the new PCB, I change the type of relay to prevent the same situation that destroyed the PCB.
